Over the past several weeks, I have begun chemotherapy. With this comes nausea and fatigue in varying degrees of severity. For me, this has meant several days of nausea where I don't feel like eating anything, as well as extreme fatigue. Being young and in pretty good shape has helped, I believe, as I have bounced back pretty well in between treatments, so far.
While no one chooses this road, I continue to be so blessed and learn so much along the way. One particularly powerful blessing has been seeing the Body of Christ in action. My family, friends, and church family have overwhelmed me and my family with calls, cards, notes, messages, meals, baby-sitting offers, gift cards, and PRAYERS. This outpouring of love and support has meant a great deal to our family. We see and feel the love of Christ reflected in so many around us. Until going through this trial, I never realized the power of the Body of Christ to encourage.
This picture of Christ's love made action has changed our family forever. It spurs us on to BE that love in action in the future. I can see more clearly my selfishness in the past, and am convicted to encourage those in need from this point forward. This blessing and lesson is another way God is redeeming this illness in my life.

Kelly, I am praying to Jehovah Rophe, the God who heals. I pray chemotherapy will be a success and that your side effects while going through it will be minimal. I pray that you will continue to have the support of the "physical" body of Christ.
Blessings,
Linda
Thanks for the update, Kelly. I am praying for you.
"This blessing and lesson is another way God is redeeming this illness in my life."
You knocked me out with that one. Praying for you in this journey.
You are a blessing my friend. Warm hugs from me to you.
You came to mind last night, so what a blessing to hear from you this morning! Because we see your name each day on our prayer board, I find myself reminding our children who you are ... and why we are praying.
It has been a sweet privilege and I will continue praying that this treatment will attack each and every cancer cell that exists in your body! We are also praying that God be glorified in your continued witness to Him as the giver of perfect strength! Blessings Kelly. Keep up the hard work.
Great post, Kelly! I'm so glad you're seeing the Body of Christ in action around you. I wish we could see that more consistently on our average day-to-day existence, but it is encouraging to hear about times when it really is moving.

I'm glad to hear those around you are blessing you with practical help and encouragement.
I will be praying that these treatments will be successful and you will be back to your normal self again. God has a purpose and plan in all of this...but it must be hard going through this time of suffering.
Still praying,
Kim
Kelly, I am so glad you stopped by my blog today. I have been praying for you, and it is so great to hear that you are being so well loved and cared for during this time. I will continue to pray for you and check in on your wonderful words of wisdom through this trial. Hugs!
I'm just catching up with you, Kelly! I didn't expect to read all that is going on with you. I'm so glad to hear the body of Christ is surrounding you with love during this time. You are now in my prayers - I have written your name down beside my computer to look at each morning. I know you will give God glory in all things and He will shine through you. Hang in there!
Beauty from ashes--nothing is beyond is ability to redeem and use for His glory! Thanks for the update...
Kelly,
Please know that I am praying. I have not been following your blog as closely as I have in the past and I was quite taken by surprise to read this latest turn in your walk with God. Wow. What a privilege it is for me to be able to join with all of the others who are blessed to be in the Body of Christ, to lift you up in prayer in the days to come. Your response to this situation is bringing Him much glory, and He has already apportioned to you the grace you will need for each coming moment. Much love to you today...
praying for you Kelly. Keep us updated.
This post is wonderful. There is something the body of Christ is lacking. It is in evangelism.
So far I have read some Christian books which are life-changing. This is the link to the books https://www.isikaemmanuel.com/search/label/Books
Above all these books, there is one I love the most called Evangelism by fire by Reinhard Boonke. It took me 3 months to get this book. it can be found through https://www.isikaemmanuel.com/2019/05/evangelism-by-fire-pdf.html
