Putting First Things First

Well everyone, I have scaled back on my blogging, but still feel stretched. I need to put all my energy and focus on the central things in my life--my relationship to the Lord and my relationship and ministry to my husband and children. I covet your prayers as I am also going through a job transition and preparing to move into the house my husband is remodeling for us (so excited!) Therefore, I am going on an extended break from posting here.

Thank you for your encouragement and giving me feedback on my thoughts and writing. I look forward to having more time to write some time in the future, but until then, many blessings to you. May we all keep Christ first in all and may He be glorified in our lives!

(I am posting at CWO blog today, and will do that occasionally in the coming months.)

You are very, very wise. I am always glad when I see bloggers do this (and I might in the future as well) because it means your priorities are in the right place. I will be praying for you. Write in a journal, though... so you can blog it someday when you have time. I know the Lord is going to continue to teach you so much, and I don't want to miss it! :)

No Kelly, no, you can't leave us! Boo hoo. Sniff sniff. Just kidding. I wanted to stir things up a little. You will be missed, but I will keep checking in on you and reading your wonderful posts at CWO blog. I respect your decision to take a break and focus on your top priorities. Way to go!

I understand, Kelly.
I'm so glad you have such exciting things coming up in your life, and that you are finding your center in your husband and children - may the Lord reward you for it.
Looking forward to "hearing" from you at CWO once in awhile! And I will be praying for you...you're now in my journal...

Oh yes, I have been there. Feeling like you are dedicating too much time to online fluff -- yes, I said FLUFF! Sometimes I have to reprioritize too.

Enjoy the time off and may God always be glorified!!!

Thanks for your post. I don’t know if you’re familiar with Maya & Miguel, a show on PBS in the afternoons -- http://pbskidsgo.org/mayaandmiguel -- that emphasizes cultural diversity and language learning but I’m reaching out to talk to parents about the program as part of a marketing project I’m working on with Scholastic.

I found your post and thought I’d reach out to say hello and ask if you’d like to receive a free Maya & Miguel DVD. If you’d like to receive the DVD just email me at Kerri at boldmouth.com with your address and I’ll have it shipped it out to you.

If you do choose to blog about Maya & Miguel show or episodes on the DVD, please make it clear how you received the information. Our goal is to be open and honest with everyone we reach.
